Response to New Coronavirus (COVID-19) – update March 23

Request for refraining from traveling abroad

The COVID-19 infection is spreading in each country and region, and the World Health Organization (WHO) declared it as a pandemic. As the situation changes day by day, each country is strengthening its immigration control and quarantine systems. Even in Japan, people traveling abroad may have stricter restrictions on entry and behavior after entry. In light of this global situation, students and faculty members should refrain from traveling abroad as much as possible for the time being so as not to disrupt events and classes after April.

Please refer to the latest information related to the COVID-19 on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ website, etc., and also understand the necessity of preventing the spread of infectious diseases so as not to increase the risk of the spread of infection.
