33 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Saitama University to date, January 22, 2021. Most of the case were caused by dining in a group. In some cases, many people got infected at the same time when they gathered in large numbers to dine together.
In accordance with the “Declaration of Emergency Situation” issued by the government on February 2, 2021, the Governor of Saitama Prefecture issued the “Emergency Measures in Saitama Prefecture after February 8, 2021″ on February 4, 2021.  Thus we extend to take the measure until March 7, 2021.

Please refrain from dining in a group. And, we ask again our students to act with a strong awareness of “not getting infected” and “not letting others get infected” and not to go out unless it is necessary.
